Floating Kitchen

大阪市北区。

とある企業の社長室へつながる廊下のデザイン。
元々、廊下に給湯室が備え付けられただけの計画であったが、クライアントの要望もあり、キッチンを主体とした、来客に驚きを与える空間デザインを提案した。
社長室側の壁は全面ダークミラー貼りとし、その壁に、浮かせたカウンターキッチンを設置。
ミラー効果によって、 狭かった空間に広がりを与え、キッチンが浮いているように見える。

Design of a corridor leading to the office of the president of a certain company.

Originally, the plan was for the corridor to simply have a kitchenette installed, but at the client’s request, we proposed a spatial design that would wow visitors, with a kitchen at the center.
The wall facing the president’s office is completely covered in dark mirror, and a floating kitchen counter is installed on that wall.
The mirror effect gives a sense of spaciousness to the narrow space, making the kitchen appear to be floating.
